Stephen A. Straughan

Stephen has been actively involved in the Rockwall Community, since moving here in 1994.  He has served on several  city boards and commissions.  Stephen served the citizens of Rockwall as a member of the Rockwall City Council from 2004 to 2008. Stephen now proudly serves as President of the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Rockwall County. 

Stephen is the business owner, Broker  of Straughan Properties which is a real estate company that specializes in Property Management, leasing and selling properties and appraisals.  

Stephen has been actively involved in the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club since 1999. He has served as treasurer, membership chair and Foundation president and club President of the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club in 2003.. Stephen is a Paul Harris Fellow and has perfect attendance.   He has served  in Rotary District 5810 as an Assistant Governor, Aide to Past District Governor Tom Ryan, District Club Support Director of Assistant Governors, and he is currently Assisting with the District Membership committee. 

 Through my service to the community of Rockwall, I saw a need for a community calendar that would unite the organizations and help them to work together to achieve scheduling of their events.
