Chef Ted Grieb, from the Zanata family, is opening up a new restaurant in downtown Rockwall.

 

The Fatted Calf is in downtown Rockwall on the square.  The restaurant will take over a long successful venue known as Old Timers. 

The dining options at the restaurant will be breakfast, lunch, and farm to table dinners on select nights.  Breakfast will be served from 7:00 am to 2:30 from Tuesday thru Sunday.  Lunch will be served 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. Dinner will be available twice a month for a set menu.  The menu will have a set price and feature produce, meats, and cheeses from Texas.  Eventually dinner will expand to Thursday Friday and Saturday nights. 

The food will be from the highest quality and offered at very reasonable prices.  The Fatted Calf is affordable to eat at every day or with your family once a week.   The menu will have dishes that are recognizable to everyone but will entice the most critical of palettes.  There will be additions to the menu everyday, which will be written on our blackboards and menus.  The additions will reflect the season’s offerings and come from local sources.
